A funny person named tom

          When I hear the word “friend” Tom McCarron come to mind immediately comes to mind because he is funny, he is a good skateboarder, and I can relate to him a lot.

                   Tom is my friend from Seattle where my mom lives. I met him because he is my other friend’s cousin. We got along right away. He is very funny because he has ADD and he doesn't focus very well. He also has A.D.H.D and he picks up random shoes in my house and then starts to use them to skateboard with his hands. This is very funny. One time when he was at my house we started to eat chips, I took salsa from the fridge and ate some and then offered some to Tom he tried some and started to scream because it was so good.

                   Tom is really good at skateboarding, he has been skating for two years and he has progressed really fast. One day tom and I decided we wanted to go to the skate park. So we got a ride from his mom and she left after she dropped us off. After two hours tom decided to try to grind a hubba. He Ollied up fell off and started to scream. And I saw that his wrist was really broken. That was scary.

                   Me and tom have a lot in common for example we both skateboard, we both love salsa and we both have slight mental health problems.

I own many techno devices for example, ipod, x box, tv, lights, and the list goes on. I think modern life depends on electronics. I use mostly my phone and that it the most important electronic to me in my life. Because I use it for an alarm clock to wake up in the morning, I use it to communicate with my family and friends, and even thought I don’t have it, you can get internet on your phone. Another important electronic in my life is the internet and the computer, because with it I can use face book, YouTube, and see what is happening in the world. The most important website I use on the internet is face book because I can talk to friends and see what everybody is doing.
                   In 10 years I think that everything is going to be very easy because they will have come up with new ways of teaching and everything will possibly be on tablets like the iPad and you will not have to longhand anything and I also think that math will be very easy because there will be sophisticated calculators to do all of the work for you.
          In 50 years everything will be done by robots and nothing will be done by humans.

why the caged bird sings responce

           ''know why the caged bird sings'', Maya Angelou is a poem about how different it is to be a caged bird that is tied up or to be a free bird that can do as it pleases. The poet is conveying the message that even though the bird is caged up it still has hope to be freed into the wild and fulfill its dream of having freedom.  The person reading this poem is a narrator for example it says ''The free bird leaps on the back of the wind'' and it didn't say I leap but instead it is in third person.
          
           The poet uses the element of repetition in this poem for example when it repeats ''The caged bird sings'' about every other paragraph. Another element used is rhyme for instance when Maya Angelou says '' with fear full trill,of the things unknown, but longed for still.'' This helps the rhythm of the poem which is a key element to all poems. One of the most important elements is imagery and imagery helps you to get an image in your head of what is happening in the poem an a perfect example of that imagery is ''But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams this shadow shouts on a nightmare scream his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing''

           I like the imagery in the poem because it helps me understand the full meaning of the poem.I can relate this poem to slavery because the bird in the poem is caged up and they want to live their life free just like the slaves did for example ''The caged bird sings with a fearful trill of things unknown but longed for still and his tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom.''

We real cool by Gwendolyn Brooks is to me a poem about life and how soon it ends and how you need to enjoy it before it does. I think that this poem is really great because it has a lot of meaning to it and i can relate to this poem because i want to live to the fullest because it will end soon and you really have to make that time count. It also has the message that things can start off fine and be okay but it can get way out of hand quickly and you don't want that to happen. when he talks about thinning gin I think that relates to the man Jon because after ''we thin gin'' it quickly went to ''we die soon'' and the gin stands for the drugs in Boston. My favorite line in the poem is ''we lurk late we strike straight'' and i like that line because it reminds me of a group of friends that have each other's backs.

"The Weary Blues'' responce

''The weary bluse''  by Langston hughes is a lyrical poem about living in the blues. This poem was conveying that blacks were living behind bars and not living free, and that is what I think that Langston Hughes was trying to make you think.

              "The weary blues'' had a lot of rhyming in it for example '' with his ebony hands on each ivory keyhe made the poor piano moan with melody'' and this rhyme shows that the poem is based off of the basic blues rhythm . Another big element was the sadness in the poem such as '' I got the weary blues and I cant be satisfied''. This shows that this poem made to be thought of further than whats written on the paper.

              I like this poem because it is not as simple as everybody is happy and everything is fine. It was deep and it made you think. sometimes i feel like singing the blues when the weather is bad or the waves are not good!
